Benefits of Kubu

  • The locks are easily linked to a Kubu Home Hub, allowing the user to quickly check on the locked status of their doors via the app. All they need to do is buy a Kubu hub and sensors, download the app, and connect.
  • The user can set the app to send alerts when a door is opened or if it is being tampered with, and users with linked windows can get reminders to close them at night. Users can check on a door's open/close history and even share their doors and windows with friends and family so they can keep an eye on their homes too, remotely.
  • Link your doors to connected devices around the home, such as lighting and heating, via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant etc. Examples of alerts that can be set up include bad weather and high pollen level alerts that prompt users to close their windows. 
  • The Kubu Hub will allow users to connect up to 20 casement sashes and 10 doors, offering complete peace of mind. The Hub's range is around 25m, so it should be more than adequate for most homes. If necessary, a second Hub could be purchased.
  • All Kubu sensors are powered by standard cell batteries, which typically have a lifespan of around 18 months. An alert will be sent via the app when they need to be replaced. Kubu Hubs and accessories are not currently available from VBH. Contact us for details of our partner who can supply these.

greenteQ 'Works with Kubu' multipoint door locks are available for composite, PVCu, wood and aluminium doors. They are tested to PAS24 and can be linked to a Kubu hub by inserting a sensor in the pocket below the profile cylinder.

greenteQ 'Works with Kubu' window locks are suitable for use on outward opening casement windows. They are tested to PAS24 and can be easily linked to a Kubu home hub via a sensor fitted in the frame.
